Society Finch

Society finch in North America and the Bengalese finch elsewhere, Lonchura striata domestica is a domesticated finch.

These birds are a domesticated species as they do not exist in the wild. Society Finches will sing and chirp once acclimated to their surroundings. They can be housed in groups or mixed with other finches.

• – They have an appropriate name as they are comfortable around people.
• – Average adult size is 5″ from beak to tail.
• – Prefer to sleep in nests.
